The word for luck and blessed in the Chinese language is the same character. During the Lunar New Year, one will often see that this character is placed upside-down so that all the luck in the world is poured out on that household. By faith, however, Christians believe in blessings that come from above. The exact translation of this song is “The most beautiful blessing in one’s lifetime is knowing Jesus Christ”. This arrangement incorporates themes from the original song release and also the arrangement by the SOLSO performance on YouTube.
This piano solo is transcribed from Amy Sand’s Footsteps. Here is the English translation. For each step of the way, I follow you. Every step comes with blessings. I will follow every step closely and walk on the path of blessing. I pray for more courage and more confidence. Give me the courage to walk and follow your footsteps, to walk with you on water and walk with you through the wilderness. Let me not be discouraged by the narrow twists and turns. I just need to trust You more; I just need to obey You more. Whatever comes from you I will not complain, even through the darkest valley or even if there is a storm. Everything in Your hands will become a blessing.
Originally composed by 吕小敏, this arrangement is designed for Chinese New Year celebration. This orchestral arrangement evokes a festive atmosphere during the Lunar New Year in China. The sound of Asian instruments is mimicked by Western orchestral instruments with the use of various percussion instruments, violin, guitar, piano and organ.
The original English title is Extravagant Worship and the composer is 施弘美. This title, however, does not capture the original intention of the lyrical content, especially the repetition of the last phrase, which is translated as “I worship you fervently”. The original English title was changed to “Worship Fervently” and an English translation to the original lyrics in Chinese is provided in the music score. The lyrics describes the enjoyment and passion of the worshipper in giving glory, honor and praise to Jesus. As it is difficult to create an exact translation that can also be sung, there are passages that were modified in order to make it easier to sing in the English language.
This musical arrangement was developed in such a way that the violin plays the melody and the accompaniments include piano and organ.
The original music is by Amy Sand. This arrangement is made for violin and piano wherein the violin carries the melody along with the lyrics in the Chinese language whereas the piano part is an accompaniment.
