Concertris: A Music Arrangement Repository
Concertris is as a repository for re-arrangements of choral and ensemble church music that are distributed freely for non-commercial use.
In the Western Christian tradition, choral music plays an important role during the worship service. Choir music pieces in the English language are available from various commercial music sheet providers. However, the orchestration for these music pieces is often too complex for the limited number of musical instruments available in a small musical group. As a choir director, I have minimized the orchestration of the choral pieces that I purchased online, in order to make it fit the limited number of musicians available to play musical instruments, without the loss of key secondary sounds and effects. Many of the instrumental parts without a musician to play are condensed into the organ part or additional keyboards.
The purpose of making these musical pieces available is to help choir directors who experienced similar problems that I did with an unavailability of choral music with a smaller musical instrument ensemble orchestration and orchestration for modern non-English church music.
